Brief arrest[edit]

Not sure where to mention this, but Malas was one of 30 Syrian celebrities arrested after participating in a protest rally in Midan, Damascus on 13 July 2012. He was released by 18 July. Here's the source [1]. --Al Ameer son (talk) 00:55, 28 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm planning a further expansion/section on his political activity (he was under house arrest for several years in the 1990s), but wanted to get the article ready for DYK by the 29th first (along with Al-Manam). (Palestine Solidarity Day). Thanks for the link Ameer. Yazan (talk) 01:53, 28 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
