Fair use rationale for Image:Saudi-logo.jpg[edit]

Image:Saudi-logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:02, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

His birthday[edit]

His birthday is 5 September 1926. It is on his Arabic page and it even has references. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Miloradovan (talkcontribs) 17:31, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Miloradovan: I've removed it again. One of our fundamental principles is that as far as possible, information be verifiable - that is, the reader is given the information to look it up. That's non-negotiable with living people; nobody likes having inaccurate and unattributed rumors spread about them, and wrong information can even do harm. You need to add the source, in a footnote. The fact that another version of Wikipedia has it doesn't mean it's correct - they try their best, just like us, but we don't cite Wikipedia itself as a source because it is, after all, an open wiki. Also, it's not reasonable to expect our readers to go over to another page, much less a foreign-language one, to find the reference for a fact. Hoping to minimize the fuss, I actually looked at the Arabic Wikipedia page, and searched the first two references for the birthdate given there - no luck. It may be given in Islamic years. Since you apparently read Arabic, can you please track it down and footnote it in the lead paragraph? If nobody can provide a source for the date, it has to stay with just a year - because we have a source for the year. Yngvadottir (talk) 17:23, 24 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

death[edit]

Apparently, though widely reported, his death has not been officially confirmed. I have reverted my changes in WikiData as well as any references to his death.--Fjmustak (talk) 21:28, 3 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
