I've started it, but just provided the gist of the most important conflicts, and some important ones i missed too, working, and welcoming additions to information.

Sealocked France[edit]

The article states that France is "almost sealocked" ("Britain and France were the most successful in establishing a broad colonial empire spanning from Africa to Asia, with a majority of that success attributed to them being almost sealocked."), while it is far from being sealocked, having frontiers with several other European countries. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.230.69.164 (talk) 19:09, 18 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Most succesful commercial empires[edit]

I believe that there is an oblivion on Portugal, and Spain as one of the most successful countries in establishing a Commercial Empire. In fact, English and french empires lasted too few compared to the formers ones. Some examples, British presence in America spans from 1620 to 1776, 150 years, Spain presence in America 1492 to 1898, 400 years. British presence in Asia. circa 1750 to 1947, 200 years. Spanish presence in Asia 1521 to 1898, 370 years. And so on... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.172.67.38 (talk) 17:37, 6 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
