Grizzly Bear Egg Cafe[edit]

I recently discovered that Mike Quackenbush is the host of another podcast. It's called the Grizzly Bear Egg Cafe. He hosts the show with his friend Clayton Morris. Where and how would that be added to his article? Djm912 (talk) 00:49, 15 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Picture?[edit]

Do you think this article would benefit if there was a picture of Quackenbush? Pyroflame 03:16, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think it would. I mean, he is a pretty major indy wrestler, and its not like adding a picture of him will take away from the page in any way... casecloser 02:56, 14 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ted Petty Invitational/ IWA-MS World Heavyweight Championship[edit]

I have heard that through Quack's victory in the finals of this year's Ted Petty Invitational that he won the IWA-MS World Heavyweight Championship from Chuck Taylor. Can anyone back me up on this so that I can post it here and on the other respective pages? COOLRUNNER87 04:12, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

From what I can tell, that's what happened. He defeated Claudio Castagnoli and then IWA MS Champ Chuck Taylor. He know has both the Light heavyweight and Heavyweight belts. Djm912 05:11, 30 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

wXw title[edit]

I changed the name of the wXw title, because it said it was the Cruiserweight title, but wXw doesn't use the name Cruiserweight, the use the Lightweight name for the title.[[1]]

Move request[edit]

Resolved

Who supports a move to Mike Quackenbush? He has used that name his entire indy career. Gavyn Sykes (talk) 17:27, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support although that article needs a lot of tweaking, think I've just found my next project--Apsouthern (talk) 10:51, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support 14 years in wrestling, 1 stage name. Seems pretty cut and dry. GaryColemanFan (talk) 15:53, 10 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support per GCF SAVIOR_SELF.777 23:10, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have been bold and moved the article, due to lack of opposition. Gavyn Sykes (talk) 22:04, 22 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wrestlers Trained[edit]

I removed incorrect wrestlers from the list of people who he trained who he actually did not train. These wrestlers were attributed to the fan built cagematch.net, to which fan can submit stats. The wrestlers Guy Alexander, Andy Header, etc. were not actually trained by Mike Quackenbush and the wrestler Hydra is a different wrestler than the wrestler Leslie Butterscotch. None of them trained at the Wrestle Factory or did any seminars with him. The confusion comes from the unreliable cagematch.net source. I have corrected this.Gentenryu (talk) 17:19, 1 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

What's your source for the claims? Cagematch is not the most reliable source, but it's better than nothing. By the way, the Internet Wrestling Database and Wrestlingdata also claim that Hydra is Butterscotch and the project considers the former a reliable source. リボン・サルミネン (Ribbon Salminen) (talk) 17:33, 1 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You answered your own question when you said that it is "not the most reliable source." It is not better than nothing. If there is not a reliable source to support the stats, then they should not be in the article. It is required that sources be reliable. Some wrestlers who are attributed to cagematch.net are actually not even featured there. More could actually be removed. These are the only ones that I am removing. The wrestler http://www.cagematch.net/?id=2&nr=271&page=4&s=1200, who did not wrestle his first match until the mid 1980s, is listed as wrestling a match in 1972. The wrestler http://www.cagematch.net/?id=2&nr=338&page=4&s=100 is listed as wrestling a TNA match in late 2002, even though it was actually another wrestler by the same name. There are other examples. http://www.cagematch.net/?id=414 indicates that fans submit the profiles and stats. The page that is sourced as listing Guy Alexander as being trained by Mike Quackenbush, http://www.cagematch.net/?id=2&nr=590&page=14, does not list him. http://www.cagematch.net/?id=2&nr=2281 indicates that he was trained by other wrestlers. Clearly, all of this is proof that cagematch.net is not a reliable source.Gentenryu (talk) 02:05, 2 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Fine, I'm removing all of the wrestlers then since they're all backed up by Cagematch. You can't pick and choose which ones Cagematch is good for. リボン・サルミネン (Ribbon Salminen) (talk) 09:24, 2 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
