cleanup[edit]

If this survives afd it needs a cleanup for tone so it reads more like an encyclopedia article and is more WP:NPOV. Also links section needs to be wikified and redundencies removed.--Isotope23 05:11, 9 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Daredevil alias[edit]

This name was once used as an alias by the comics character Daredevil (Marvel Comics). A disambiguation page may be neccesary.-Toptomcat 15:01, 20 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Mike-Murdock.jpg[edit]

Image:Mike-Murdock.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Prosperity Preacher Bashers[edit]

It is not fair to take out the history of Murdock's ministry and replace it with criticism of his preaching style. I replaced his history...and took out much of the negative criticism. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.142.49.18 (talk) 17:03, 12 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's also not fair to remove legitimate critisism and replace it with a glowing report from his PR agent. Bkatcher (talk) 17:07, 12 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If there is so much controversy and criticism surrounding this person, why is it unfair to include at least a reference to it here? It's a fact that a great many people have difficulty rationalizing or understanding the true motivation of this person. Fact is not slander. I feel strongly that a reference needs to be made of the overwhelming negative perception surrounding this person. To leave that out is denying a truth and a fact.67.167.110.28 (talk) 23:14, 14 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Negative perception? Perhaps it comes from Mike stooping lower than any mud-swimming evangelist. He'll offer angel protection for your son or daughter in Iraq for a seed donation. This guy is the money man. He'll extract it from the seriously desperate and dumb. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.106.87.15 (talk) 18:06, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sow your seed of only $1000 and God will dissmiss your bankruptcy. Don't hold onto that seed. It must be sown. God needs your money to answer your prayers. God is running a grift and using Murdock as his puppet.71.218.234.188 (talk) 16:49, 4 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

And there's also THIS. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/02/28/shady-trump-supporting-pastor-gave-a-sex-scandal-plagued-nigerian-pastor-cash-and-a-rolls-royce.html

Of course, I knew exactly what kind of man he is the moment I saw him on tv - you have to be a real idiot (which many religious people seem to be) to fall for such a blatant scammer!

No information about his life[edit]

The article lacks Mike Murdock's life history. (example: Is he married? Does he have any children?)

Also we are lacking his book history and music history.

That information has been added now. Apajj89 (talk) 20:36, 1 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup[edit]

Article has several issues with bias / POV. A complaint was made to BLPN. I am cleaning up as best I can. A few notes:

  • Thieves (book) is an unlikely (and improper) source for a portion of Thieves (book) being published as an article.
  • The affair(s) must be prefaced by "alleged."
  • I removed some things that did not make sense as written

Bias and opinion sources[edit]

I would like to see this page brought back up to the standards of Wikipedia. A lot of the sources on this page are hit blogs or opinion pieces taken from the trinity foundation. I feel the article is in great need of a cleanup Pjlancer (talk) 04:28, 4 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
