10 titles[edit]

Mika Koivuniemi is not eligible for the Hall of Fame based on 10 titles. That is commonly used benchmark, but there are Hall of Famers will fewer than 10 titles (even in the Performance category, as opposed to Service). —The preceding unsigned comment was added by MMan710 (talkcontribs) 18:55, 16 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

  • According to pba.com, the most recent qualifications for Hall of Fame induction (instituted in 2000) require at least 10 titles on the regular PBA Tour, or at least two major championships. In actuality, only Don Carter, Ray Bluth and Billy Welu made it in via the Performance category without winning 10 titles or two majors, and they were all part of the original class of 1975. Gary Dickinson and Mark Williams made it in via Performance with 8 and 7 titles, respectively. But they each won two majors. Thus, Koivuniemi is eligible even if he never wins another PBA title, based on his two majors. Howenstein115 (talk) 20:38, 21 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
