This entry confuses using Micro-X-ray fluorescence with the definition of the same; Micro-X-ray fluoresence is not as new as claimed I believe, the referenced paper only uses it for fingerprint scanning but does not introduce it. MicroXRF in itself is not a technique for visualizing fingerprints (as the second sentence can easily be read to mean) - it is a technique for retrieving the elemental composition of a specimen, and could be used in many domains (though I don't have any references handy at the moment to specify exactly what micro-XRF is in contrast to X-ray fluorescence, supposedly the same just on a smaller scale). So instead of giving a proper definition of Micro-X-ray fluorescence, the page just refers to one technique using it 193.170.127.132 (talk) 16:08, 14 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Since Micro-X-ray fluorescence is (as far as my knowledge goes) "only" X-ray-fluorescence on a different scale, I will (unless somebody cries no) remove the contents of the article and make it a redirect to X-ray_fluorescence by the weekend. 193.170.127.132 (talk) 13:56, 19 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
