I think there should be a mention of their America's cup win here —Preceding unsigned comment added by Shniken (talkcontribs)

You mean Alinghi? That's a good idea - I added a mention. Sandstein 14:31, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Why is there mention of the USS Switzerland? Apart from the name it has no links to Switzerland that i can fathom. Surely wikipedia is not the place for such "jokes"? Deckchair (talk) 10:15, 29 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Essentially the same?[edit]

The Swiss merchant navy was founded in 1941, with the purpose of supplying Switzerland with basic goods during the Second World War. As of 2016, its mission is essentially the same.

What? So it's still supplying Switzerland with basic goods during WW2???--Jack Upland (talk) 07:10, 1 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Why is the title capitalized?[edit]

Since there is no organization by this name, this article should be "Merchant marine of Switzerland". I will change it, unless there is discussion explaining why it is correct, as it stands. HopsonRoad (talk) 14:51, 3 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
