Spelling: organisation/ organization[edit]

Hi, can we change the spelling to '*s*' , so it does not look odd, juxtaposed with the name of the OAU in the same paragraph?

The AU replaced the Organi*s*ation of African Unity (OAU), and AU membership was open to all OAU member states. From an original membership of 36 states when the OAU was established on 25 May 1963, there have been nineteen successive enlargements – the largest occurring on 18 July 1975 when four states joined. Morocco is the newest member state, having re-joined in January 2017. Morocco withdrew from the OAU in 1984 following the organi*z*ation's acceptance of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic as a member state./>

the map is wrong[edit]

the map is wrong, it depicts western sahara as a member state of the african union whereas it is not. part of western sahara is administered by morocco, which is a member state, and another part is administered by the unrecognised government of its independence movement which is not part of african union. No, the map is correct. SADR is a member of the AU. See: [1]. TDL (talk) 13:30, 3 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Incomplete information on suspensions[edit]

Didn't this article previously include information on which member countries were currently suspended? It now has notes about previous suspensions, but doesn't consistently indicated which suspensions have been lifted and which haven't. Major loss of information. List leaders or not?[edit]

Look the SCO one and ASEAN one, I wonder whether there are reasons not to do so here. Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 09:10, 17 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
