Woodfield Station[edit]

I've added a footnote summary of why Woodfield Station opened and closed in the same month based on the Board of Trade documents held in the National Archives. My research is available at https://huddersfield.exposed/p/8f7 (including the correct location of the station, as shown on a map drawn by the then Huddersfield Corporation Borough Surveyor) if anyone wants to use it to add details to the main body of the article. Please note that much of the information about Woodfield Station that has been published in print to date is either speculative or inaccurate, as the authors appear to have based it entirely on the Huddersfield Chronicle closure article rather than seeking out primary source materials. Similarly, most of the websites I've seen give the wrong location for the station as they seem to have assumed a flight of stone steps from Beaumont Park Road led down to the station -- in fact they were built a decade after the station closed to provide an replacement public right of way lost during the laying out of Beaumont Park. 82.29.96.250 (talk) 18:46, 9 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright Violation[edit]

The entire "History" section is a word-for-word copy of pages 88 & 89 of "The History and Topography of South Crosland, Armitage Bridge and Netherton" (1938) by Philip Ahier. The work remains under copyright until 1 January 2046, being 70 calendar years after the death of the author. Davepattern (talk) 19:02, 20 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
