Russian name : Melor[edit]

For a time in Russia, during the Soviet Era, Melor was a popular name - not sure whether for males or females. Derived from Marx, Engels, Lenin, October, Revolution

Bearing in mind the feast day of October 1st - is there a possible connection ?

I think you've answered that yourself, as you have a perfectly good explanation for the usage, which does not depend on St Melor. I presume you are referring to the October Revolution, but that was on 25 October and is now commemorated on 7 Nov, following transition from Julian to Gregorian calendar.Sjwells53 (talk) 12:40, 28 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
