merge as per Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Scouting/RulesStandards. Our intent is not to delete anyone's work or to minimize the importance of any article that already exists on the Wikipedia. Instead our goal is to tighten the information, to make it more relevant and useful for the general Wikipedian. This article will be absorbed in its entirety to the larger state Scouting article. The newer article will encompass OA lodges, Councils, early nonBSA Scouting organizations like Campfire or Woodcraft, Girl Scouting where applicable, and other ideas as they come up. Hello, I am the author of this article, and have a few questions about what the merging would entail. First of all, I'd like to let you know that I've followed the links you provided about the 'WikiProject Scouting', and think that it's an excellent idea. I looked at the Scouting_in_Massachusetts article, and I don't see any information in there on the councils except for a list of the districts. Would the information about towns, as well as additional information that may be added about the council in the future, be included on that page? Or would there be some kind of other page that is part of that article? Bcaff 20:43, 18 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Merge. I think I better understand it now - each council will have its own article, and by 'merging' you mean that you'd like us to conform to the Wikiproject Scouting's standards to be used as part of the project? So...what exactly needs to be done to intergrate this article into the project? Bcaff 21:28, 18 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
