I'm sorry, I'm new to Wikipedia, so I'm not familiar with proper syntax, etc. This page is in need of some dire help: For starters, there are no references. What do I do to start editing? How do I mark a page as needing references?

I marked the page as needing references. I will come back and see if the page is improved by a more confident/knowledgable editor. If at that time, the page remains as is, I will remove some contentious material (such as the claim that Funes and his rival are polling even in the run up to the 2009 El Salvador presidential election) and some erroneous links (like the Channel 12 link), and do my best to improve the content and the references.
