@In ictu oculi: I just wonder how the Vietnamese text in the quotation comes under that form. They are nearly all wrong in terms of diacritics. What do you think of the following revision? "Sinh ra [à] Hà Nội vào tháng 8 năm 1914, Giáo sư Maurice Durand là con trai của ông Gustave Durand, trông phòng dịch thuật Toà án đồng thời là giáo viên tiếng Trung của trường Đại học Tổng hợp và bà Nguyễn Thị [Binh], người tỉnh Kiến An."
