Most popular actress in America[edit]

I am totally new to Wikipedia edit. Don't know the protocol or much of the process, just trying to help. Any guidance would be appreciated.

(From: Wikipedia- Maude Adams) "Beginning in 1897, Adams starred in plays by J. M. Barrie, including The Little Minister, Quality Street, What Every Woman Knows and Peter Pan. These productions made Adams the most popular actress in New York."

I think it's common knowledge that after Peter Pan, Maude Adams was not just the most popular actress in New York but in the whole country. I just wanted the sentence to reflect that fact.

On Wikipedia, we depend on citations to WP:Reliable sources. We cannot accept someone's statement that something is "common knowledge". -- Ssilvers (talk) 01:37, 17 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you google "Yvonne Shafer", her books will come up, and one of them is the book that I mentioned. I could not find any for sale anywhere, so I just googled the book and it did come up?? Again, it is on page 49 of book.

Movement of Citation.[edit]

"Once while touring, a theater owner significantly raised the price of tickets, knowing Adams's name meant a sold-out house.[31] Adams made the owner refund the difference before she appeared on the stage that night.[citation needed]"

Actually, the second sentence is on that page also. (Robbins p 219) So therefore, the citation "31" should be moved to after the second sentence.
