Noteworthyness![edit]

since the current Elrington Bosworth Professor of Anglo-Saxon at the University of Cambridge does not have a Wikipedia page, why does this junior academic in the same field deserve a page?

The page is irrelevant and should be deleted! Presalernitan (talk) 16:11, 7 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The page explaining Wikipedia's notability policy gives the background. The range of independent, reliable sources discussing Rambaran-Olm mean that her inclusion is pretty cut and dry.
I was going to suggest that you could start the article on the current Elrington and Bosworth Professor of Anglo-Saxon at the University of Cambridge, but since Rosalind Love (still listed Elrington and Bosworth Professor) already has a Wikipedia article, perhaps you have someone else in mind? Her notability today largely derives from her PR stunts decrying the term "Anglo-Saxon" as being a "white supremacist" term, despite the vast, vast majority of White British people viewing the Anglo-Saxons as a people of the past. --SinoDevonian (talk) 22:47, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The purpose of talk pages is to discuss improvements to Wikipedia articles rather than to speculate on the subjects of said articles. Richard Nevell (talk) 23:18, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
