Removed PROD[edit]

I am the primary author of this article. A PROD had been placed on this article, and I have removed it. If the user who added the PROD wishes to take it to AFD, they should feel free to do so, and I will voice my opinions there. I created this article while working on Characters of Parks and Recreation, and I found there was enough verifiable coverage in reliable sources for this character to have her own article. The person who placed the PROD argued it was "pure plot", which to some extent will be inevitable with an article about a fictional character. However, everything in this article, plot or not, is cited by reliable sources, and the article includes a thoroughly-sourced "Development" section with non-plot information. (Also, that original characters page was getting a bit bit and, per WP:SIZE, breaking Marlene into her own article helped keep that page size under control.) It should be noted too that the article is only just begun (I have plans to work all of these P&R character articles up to GA) and there is no deadline for which it has to be finished. — Hunter Kahn 21:28, 25 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The Characters of Park and Recreations is far and away NOT a large article and development information does not make a character notable. I have plenty of information on Gale Weathers, she still doesn't have her own article. There is absolutely no way whatsoever that this character, with 50 paragraphs of development information can pass as a notable character. What she has now can very easily go into her entry on your character list. Liz Lemon? Jack Donaghy? Ron Swanson? Sure. Marlene Griggs-Knope? Knope. You like the show, I get it, but this character is not notable. The main characters from Fast and Furious, apart from Vin Diesel's had their articles deleted because they, from several multi-million dollar films, were not notable. I will have to take it over to AfD. Darkwarriorblake (talk) 21:38, 25 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
