Untitled[edit]

Cipollini is known as the "lion king" because the winner of each stage in the tour de france gets a stuffed lion. i can't actually find that published anywhere to footnote or include it, any help would be great.

re: the Credit Lyonnais stuffed lions, the GC leader on each day also receives a lion... Armstrong has been given something like 75 or 80 of them, last year in an interview he said that he gives them away to the children of teammates and postal/discovery channel support staff. "He was fined for wearing an all yellow outfit while leading the Tour de France. [1]" This note seems to be missing. Khrister 14:38, 25 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Best sprinter?[edit]

Why did he never win a maillot vert despite being "the best sprinter of his generation"?67.169.183.243 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 17:23, 25 July 2009 (UTC). That's an easy one to answer. He actually never arrived to Paris in order to win it ... The only point jersey he actually won was ciclamino at giro, which he actually managed to finish a couple of times ... 195.250.209.217 (talk) 20:46, 26 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Cipollini LGB promo.jpg[edit]

Image:Cipollini LGB promo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
