Questionable Details[edit]

Having read her sketch in the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography, there are a few details of this article that look questionable, if not incorrect, against the Dictionary: The ODNB states she was born in Hinthada, Burma, a fact mentioned in the main article here but the infobox gives her birthplace as Leytonstone, Essex; her first marriage did not end in divorce but she was "widowed" in 1930, her husband's life dates being given as "1861?-1930", and his name given as Barczynski (Barclay), not as a hyphenated surname, the Barclay being an apparent anglicisation. Following the death of Caradoc Evans she came to live in Shropshire at Little Stretton (not mentioned in this Wikipedia account). I also question the apparent assertion she died in Sheffield, as it is possible she could have died in Shrewsbury, the county town and a principal hospital centre for Shropshire. I recall reading an obituary of her in the "Shrewsbury Chronicle" in my youth. I will try to investigate it again at Shropshire Archives (now open one Saturday in two).Cloptonson (talk) 18:46, 14 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Having re-read her ODNB sketch I will correct the details about her marriages accordingly. She only separated from her first husband in 1916, without divorce.Cloptonson (talk) 18:01, 21 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
adding to this, the ODNB and the Orlando project both give this novelist's maiden name as Jervis not Jarvis. So I think the page should be moved.62.254.146.71 (talk) 17:12, 22 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
