Animal common names with or without caps[edit]

I took the caps out of the great grey owl. They're not required, and the rest of the article doesn't use them, so it looked like that one bird was more important than the falcon or any other animal because it was capitalized and the other weren't. --KP Botany (talk) 02:06, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

conifer diversity not unique[edit]

According to Sawyer's 2006 book, Mount Rainier National Park has a single conifer stand with 17 species in it. To be safe, I've dropped the sentence that talks about uniqueness of conifer diversity. —hike395 (talk) 09:23, 4 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Impressed with your research there! Since publication, that fact has yet to be proven and even Dr. Sawyer himself has heard neither hide nor hare of that claim again.
