Picture of maillot requested. Nastajus 06:12, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This really needs a picture. --PJ Pete —Preceding signed but undated comment was added at 04:07, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As requested, comrades. ;) I have provided an image for historical reference. Ahh! The beauty of random anonymous Wikipedians working together. Cheers, Nesnad (talk) 11:53, 24 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The historical picture used gives no sense of the commonest used of the term maillot as applied to swimsuits. I'm adding another pic, from the fifties, illustrating a more typical garment. Centrepull (talk) 10:35, 21 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

French maillots de bain[edit]

The usage of maillots de bain for men is not resticted to persian and arabian languages. Mens swimming trunks are universally referred to as maillot de bain (homme) in France. --92.201.229.78 (talk) 10:05, 6 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
