Lede[edit]

The order is a bit confusing. Maybe you could talk more about the station istelf and then go on to introduce the history surrounding the companies and Chicago "L" as I think this is a bit less relevant to this specific station. The ordering in the article Western station (CTA Blue Line O'Hare branch) makes more sense, with simple information about the location, opening and layout of the station before the history part.

I suggest noting that "L" stands for elevated somewhere around the sentence "The Metropolitan, along with the other companies operating "L" lines in Chicago, became a part of the Chicago Elevated Railways (CER) trust on July 1, 1911."

"The subway's approval did not immediately imply the end of the old Logan Square branch". I don't think it was previously explained why the new system would threaten the Logsan Square branch. Perhaps you could include some more geographical explanations of how this new system would replace the old Logan Square branch and why the congestion was particularly problematic on the Logan Square branch.

I know this is a different article, but at Chicago Stadium, the 'an' should be 'a' in the first sentence. I can't change this myself.

The Chicago Bulls, housed in the United Center, planned to build a $95 million complex in the area based on possible tax breaks. Mayor Rahm Emanuel suggested building a station at Madison to serve the complex; the CTA declined to reopen a station at Madison at that time, but left open the possibility of a future reviva Do we have dates for these events?

Do we know what station is shown in the photo?
- The infobox photo is Madison itself as a hot dog stand. The second photo is just a drawing/engraving of a typical Metropolitan station, produced by the Railway Age when the railroad first opened, and not any specific real station. – John M Wolfson (talk • contribs) 16:58, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
"for rides outside of Evanston and Wilmette." I don't know about the geography of Chicago, but I assume that the Logan Square branch extended beyond these suburbs. If this is the case, you might want to clarify this, otherwise these details might seem irrelevant for the article.

p.538 of the Polk directory states that the occupant of 1718 West Madison was Chicago Rapid Transit co. Is there a better way to verify that this is where Madison station is or do we have just have to assume?
