What's your source for these chart positions? Because according to both Billboard [1] [2] and Allmusic [3], this song never charted. If it had, that information would have been available at some point in the past 10 years. Chart positions don't just magically appear from the past. In any case charts alone don't satisfiy the criteria for notability; the song needs to have received significant coverage in reliable secondary sources independent of the topic in order to warrant a stand-alone article. --IllaZilla (talk) 21:32, 24 September 2010 (UTC)

That I just noticed on the Green Day discography page. You'd have to ask the person who put it down there where they got it from. And anyways, it WAS released as a physical single, though I know that alone doesn't qualify for a page. Anyways, in that case, do pages like Drain You, Sappy, Polly (song), Spank Thru, Pennyroyal Tea and I Hate Myself and Want to Die not qualify either?-Disco dude rock (talk) 23:10, 24 September 2010 (UTC)

I cannot speak for other articles, I am only talking about this one (see WP:OTHERSTUFF). However, I would venture that, given the many, many reliable secondary sources that have covered Nirvana's entire repertoire in-depth, that the songs have received enough significant coverage to meet the notability threshold. "Macy's Day Parade" has not. Utlimately, a topic only merits a stand-alone article if has received significant source coverage. Well, when it comes to comparing this to a "notable" Nirvana song, this one has a promotional single and music video released for it (the meaning can also be expanded), whereas another just has a small writeup about the song. Problem is, this song was not released as a single. Radio-only promotional discs are not singles, as has been explained to you before on your talk page. The notability criteria for songs also specifically says "promo-only recordings do not in general have the significant independent coverage in reliable sources needed for independent notability." I am also unable to verify your claim that "promo CDs from Australia have been known to exist". I could find no evidence of this, through either a Google search or a Google image search (sometimes one can find images of the CDs themselves or their cover art, which can give a lead towards verification...no such luck with this one). Unless you have a reliable source to back up this claim, then it does not hold water. --IllaZilla (talk) 23:36, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
