Expansion[edit]

This is a notable subject that deserves to be fleshed out more. A better explanation of what it is would be good. Also, a more complete list of MMOSGs (Second Life, There?) would be nice as well as a description of its history (origins in MUDs and MUSHs?) For style, cues could be taken from Massively multiplayer online real-time strategy. -kotra 02:16, 2 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Existence[edit]

Does this category of games actually exist or was it just made up? Please add some sources to this article or I'm going to afd it.--Sloane 05:09, 6 August 2006 (UTC) Just Google MMOSG and have a look. I used to refer to these games as sims when I played them in high school. Also, I should note that there are a ton of variants on the term MMO, I think these smaller articles should be merged with the main Massively multiplayer online game article. --Ariadoss 08:20, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I would just delete it. It doesn't sound like anything used by a large number of people. --Sloane 13:36, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
You sure like to delete things, don't you? Despite mainstream lack of knowledge on the subject, it's a distinct genre, though a small one, and as an article it's useful. It has been useful to me, for one. If we deleted every thing that was notable to only a small subset of the population, we could start by deleting articles about rare insect species or minerals. -kotra 20:04, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I have noticed you do tend to rush in to deleting articles, I've been going over all your recent edits. There are literally hundreds, possibly thousands of articles on here that are less notable than some you have proposed for deletion, I love Wikipedia because I am able to find information on subjects not normally found in traditional or in a general/non-specialized encyclopedias. I guess we each have our own interpretation of what is Wikipedia:notability. --Ariadoss 03:08, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
This isn't a question of notability but verifiability. There isn't a single reliable source listed. --Sloane 03:12, 7 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
