There seems to be confusion over the value of the Batzen and Kreuzer relative to the other denominations. GFD, gives the relationships as 1 Duplone = 2 Ducats = 4 Thalers = 12 Gulden = 16 Franken = 160 Batzen = 480 Schillinge = 640 Kreuzer = 1600 Rappen = 3200 Angster but these correspond to 1 Schilling = 3⅓ Rappen, which can't be right as every other source says 1 Schilling = 3 Rappen. It looks like this is a conflation of the pre- and post-Napoleonic eras. My very old Standard Catalog of World Coins gives a list including 1 Gulden = 40 Schillinge = 120 Rappen = 240 Angster, 1 Thaler = 3 Gulden = 40 Batzen, 1 Duplone = 12 Gulden which only agrees with GFD in parts. Can anyone help out? Dove1950 22:34, 10 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
