While these murders are related, the murder of Herbert Lee, by a white state legislator who was cleared of the crime, seems to be considered iconic in terms of society in Amite County at the time during the civil rights era. I think perhaps these should be treated as two articles, as they probably were in the beginning. The murder of Louis Allen is a separate case, the subject of cold case investigations by a historian, FBI and CBS 60 Minutes.Parkwells (talk) 14:38, 18 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
