Odd language[edit]

I've tagged this article with {{NPOV}} and {{tone}}; the tone in the first and second sections seems a bit odd; very informal, with a generally oddly biased air. Warrants further review, but I don't have the time at present.

Strictly speaking, some parts of this should probably be checked and removed; verification looks thin on the ground. 77.99.26.244 (talk) 23:17, 23 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The whole lot has been ripped from a website, this one, itself a rip from a local history book. --Weirdoldhattie (talk) 16:01, 24 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Just stumbled on this web site and am very annoyed at the ridiculous comments on the secondary schools in Longwell Green. It said that due to high numbers of muggings and stabbings, many people have to travel into Bristol or Bath for their education.I am a parent of a year 9 student in one of these schools, and could not believe what I was reading. This is complete and utter nonsence.I've never heard of any such incident in Sbl,and if I did do you honestly think I would send my son there to be educated.I think anyone would agree that education is important and vital and that sending them to a school with so say statistics like that is stupid.you wouldn't,nobody would! I suggest whoever wrote these pages does a bit of intense research and gets their facts straight first, before abusing a schools good name.Anybody looking into moving into the area would have hesitant thoughts after reading this article.A very angry parent of Longwell Green. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.46.23.28 (talk) 21:26, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You probably stumbled upon a vandalised version of the article. I do agree, however, that your children deserve the best education, as it's clear that that opportunity has apparently passed you by. Rodhullandemu 23:02, 18 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Short article, not apparently independently notable. Propose merging to a section here. Rodhullandemu 22:59, 18 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, this article should be merged with Longwell_Green Jeffnz (talk) 07:25, 2 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Probable copyright problem[edit]

I have removed the "History" section as a probable copyright violation. The whole thing arrived in this edit from 2007, and looks like a copy-paste from the URL included in that edit. Also note the comment from 24 January 2008, further up this talk page. However, that URL is now dead and the Wayback Machine doesn't help, so I can't be absolutely sure. -- John of Reading (talk) 12:12, 24 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
