Early question[edit]

I'm having trouble telling the difference between LRE and xDSL. Based on some of the reading I've done, it sounds to me as if LRE is just a high-speed variant of xDSL. Can someone explain the difference? Is there a difference?

If anything, it seems like a variant of SDSL that instead of using PPPoE, it just uses, well, E (Ethernet). Am I wrong?

xDSL is the generic term. This is one variant the used an Ethernet-like packet framing. I am looking to see how it relates to the 10BaseS product that Infineon had - same or similar? W Nowicki (talk) 01:33, 28 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
