Skookum1 -- If you are asking this question, someone else is likely to wonder about the same thing. This means that the introduction needs to be tweaked. The citation support for the first sentence follows:

Robert D. Turner. (1987). West of the Great Divide: an Illustrated History of the Canadian Pacific Railway in British Columbia, 1880-1986; excerpt, "In January 1901, the CPR purchased control of the CPN and immediately began improving the fleet and expanding the services. I don't have the books handy to give precise examples; maybe over time, i.e. for the other constructions; various early and 20th C histories and newspaper columns and such have used the "ships" form, I believe; it may be more colloquial, or local in nature; the Princesses were of course a major feature of the life of the Port of Vancouver for many years, so there's mentions all over the place. The one book that immediately comes to mind is Alan Morley's Vancouver: From Milltown to Metropolis, which isn't on line nor likely will be short of the Gutenburg Project getting finished. I'll look around; "fleet of Princess ships" or "fleet of Princess liners" I'm pretty sure I've seen; how did CPR Ships, I mean the company itself, refer to this part of their larger overall fleet?Skookum1 (talk) 07:37, 25 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

British Library/Nat'l Archives image from Commons[edit]

, location unknown (but could be determined by someone familiar with the waters), 1909, A.E. Waters photog, would put it on the main page but not much room; will the table ever have image columns like List of heritage buildings in Vancouver or is it not that sort of table? , that mountain behind the headland I think might be Mount Maxwell on Saltspring, this would be offshore from Sidney I think.

Guessing this one might be off the Mid-Island somewhere, note the town at rear left....maybe Nanaimo, hard to say.

A gallery for this page, if not images in the tables, might be good; or collaborative effort to get some of the vessel articles written; photos exist for nearly all of this fleet.Skookum1 (talk) 17:10, 10 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
