Fair use rationale for Image:ECO logo.png[edit]

Image:ECO logo.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Mercosur, NAFTA overlapping[edit]

It seems the information regarding a supposed Mercosur / NAFTA is incorrect, as it implies in Mexico membership to Mercosur (the only country shared by both agreements), and Mexico is currently just an observer to Mercosur. In this case the information should be fixed, but I'm not sure on making it myself as I'm not a regular editor nor a native English speaker.

U.N[edit]

shouldn't the u.n be added , it doesn't include every country in the world. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.143.148.95 (talk) 18:25, 18 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, the UN should be added, and it doesn't include every country in the world. 76.66.197.30 (talk) 05:18, 30 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe UN could be added. However, it's problematic how we should count UN population. Should we include e.g. Taiwan (which isn't a UN member) population which is claimed by China or Kosovo (which isn't a UN member) which is claimed by Serbia? What about the republics of Donetsk and Luhansk which aren't UN members but are claimed by Ukraine? If we exclude them, how can we determine their borders as it's constantly changing due to the ongoing war? Grillofrances (talk) 02:50, 6 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Is it "regional," though? — Guarapiranga  02:58, 6 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

by population[edit]

As per page title, shouldn't the list be ordered by population rather than alphabetically. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.137.128.232 (talk) 09:36, 23 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I came to the talk page to make exactly the same comment. The title does not match the content.sephia karta | di mi 18:20, 23 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
That can be solved with sortable tables... 76.66.197.30 (talk) 05:18, 30 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Organizations[edit]

How about adding Francophonie, Nordic Council, Arctic Council, Group of 7 leading economies, Group of 20 leading economies? Organisation of Islamic Cooperation?

And some historical organizations?

At the end of the Cold War there was the League of Non-Aligned States, NATO, SEATO, the Warsaw Pact - so perhaps a list at the end of the Cold War could be added?

And of WWII? - Allied Powers, Axis Powers, League of Nations

Or of WWI? - Entente Powers, Central Powers

Populations inaccurate[edit]

The EEA should have a higher population than the EU, shouldn't it? Are all these numbers really from 2007? Also, what's the ASEAN FTA doing at the bottom with only 12 million people? It is coterminous with ASEAN itself.
