Wikipedia is not a linkfarm - see WP:EL for guidelines about links that should and should not be included. Per WP:ELBURDEN, disputed links should be excluded absent an explicit consensus for inclusion. Nikkimaria (talk) 20:03, 14 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

So edit warring is prohibited and you feel the need to edit war. You lied in your edit summary in claiming that IMDB links are not allow at all in production company articles as Wikipedia:External_links/Perennial_websites#IMDb says other wise. It isn't a link farm it is just that the article cover more than one production company. So, also, logo should not been seen? Go ahead rip out ever logo out of every article that has one. You said those links are standard in standalone articles and I said they are not; neither you nor I specified IMBd as the links being referred to, and there were others besides IMDb being removed. We also each have two reverts here, which is why we should discuss, but per WP:ELBURDEN the default during discussion is to exclude the links. And no one is claiming that the logo should not be seen, but using an EL table to link to sites that violate WP:ELNO/WP:ELNEVER is not the way to achieve that. Nikkimaria (talk) 21:17, 14 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
But unfortunately with logo and images, you have a number of editors that run around and strip logo and images out of articles. I find fight them to be a huge time hog, since WP doesn't seem to understand images, it has in some places of its image guidelines illogical outcomes. (Like don't use a canned reason for having a copyrighted image, but the only reason is a canned reason.) If links to images aren't allow then the images them selves should not be used either. For example, an image at WikiCommons, an open wiki is on another wiki website and is linked from there (for on page viewing). This is a violation of ELNO 12: linking to an open wiki as WikiCommons is. One of these previous discussion included a suggestion to stalk some actress instead of using a pictures twice since the "Image Rule Defender" can not figure out that an exist picture is one instant on the server at that rule allow it, but insisted on another picture.
So tell me what to do. It is wrong if I do it (add an image) and wrong if provide an alternative via a external link. So, yes you are arque that they should not be seen. Spshu (talk) 14:37, 15 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
You can include an image if either it is freely licensed / in the public domain, or its use meets the non-free content criteria. Nikkimaria (talk) 14:54, 15 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
But that violates WP:ELNO/WP:ELNEVER. Spshu (talk) 13:32, 17 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
How so? Non-free images can be hosted locally. Nikkimaria (talk) 15:08, 17 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
