Unrestored locos[edit]

The lead says As of 2009, four of the locomotives have not been restored to working order since withdrawal: 92134, 92207, 92219 and 92245 ... these locomotives are not expected to be fully restored in the foreseeable future, but it seems like only 92219 and 92245 are the only two that really aren't under restoration: a fair amount of money and work seems to have gone into both 92134 and 92207 (the latter per the article). Yes, it's not clear when they will be finished, but I gather it's not a major mountain to climb at this point for either one. Would it more more accurate to say that only 92219 and 92245 are not expected to be restored? Noel (talk) 19:17, 1 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hearimg no adverse comment, I have been bold and modified the intro along the lines indicated. Noel (talk) 21:43, 26 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In Series 14 , Episode 3 "Echoes of the Dead" (2011) drive the locomotive 92212 in the title sequence. --Reneman (talk) 20:17, 5 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Reneman: Is it significant to the plot? That is, would the story have been affected (adversely or otherwise) if a different loco had been used? If not, it's just trainspotting. --Redrose64 (talk) 22:29, 5 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

92203 Black Prince nameplates[edit]

Did 92203 Black Prince use the actual nameplates that had been on 70008 Black Prince? 92203 was preserved (though not necessarily named) in 1967; 70008 was withdrawn in January 1967.

Some information about 70008 is in this list of BR 'Britannia' Class locomotives — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.151.50.165 (talk) 13:35, 5 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

No, 70008 had plates in the same style as 70013 Oliver Cromwell, with Gill Sans lettering; but the plates on 92203 were of the same style as on 92220 Evening Star, with serifs on the lettering. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 15:24, 5 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
