Two Mission Halls in Billingshurst[edit]

There are two more mission halls in Billingshurst to be added to the list of disused/demolished places of worship:

  • Five Oaks, Stane Street, 50.9983N, 0.4699 W (Anglican). Wilcox says building erected 1892. Looks like this has been demolished.
  • Adversane, Adversane Lane, 51.0453N, 0.4346W (Methodist). Wilcox cites records for 1852-1968, though it's not on the c.1900 OS maps. It's now owned by a trust which leases it to the local council.

Hard to find out much about these online. --Pfold (talk) 22:02, 8 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Adversane: this is a solid ref (p12) confirming use as a mission hall. Now run by Billingshurst Parish Council. No mention on MyPrimitiveMethodists.co.uk or in the Methodist Statistical Returns documenting all chapels extant in 1940, so probably short-lived. Will add. No pix on Commons or Geograph. Coordinates are 50.9983, -0.4699. Hassocks5489 (Floreat Hova!) 17:51, 28 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Former Primitive Methodist Chapel, Rushams Road, Horsham[edit]

Later called Trinity Hall and was used by the Red Cross, but they announced they were selling it in August 2016... [1] Hassocks5489 (Floreat Hova!) 12:57, 11 August 2016 (UTC)  Done[reply]

JW 'meeting finder'[edit]

This article and various other articles about small localities (seemingly focussed on Kent, UK), included defunct links to a 'JW Meeting finder app'. In most cases, the link is invalid and returns a 404 error on the JW website. In any case, these citations pointing to a search front-end are not ideal citations for a specific place of worship. If there other similar 'search' sites used as citations for other denominations for which a direct link cannot be provided to the specific place of worship, they also are probably not suitable as citations.--Jeffro77 (talk) 02:21, 1 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I replied at Jeffro's talk page. New solution to be found for Kingdom Hall refs. Hassocks5489 (Floreat Hova!) 08:56, 3 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Kings House, Southwater[edit]

This new place of worship has been registered for marriages (23/1/2017). Investigate! Google Southwater "Kings House" and see here etc. Coordinates are 51.022983, -0.352361 Hassocks5489 (Floreat Hova!) 08:56, 3 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
