List scope[edit]

Starting a discussion about the scope of this article. The article was brought to AfD in September of 2021 with the concern that the article violated WP:NOTMEMORIAL. I suggested that the article be kept with a limited scope as a valid navigational list as long as the list only contained notable entries. The nomination was withdrawn under the new scope. Now there's disagreement about whether this change improved the article. I still maintain that the list's purpose should be navigational and not as an indiscriminate memorial to everyone who died while running (violating WP:NOTMEMORIAL and WP:NOTNEWS).

Sadly, I think if this list includes all people killed while running, not just those meeting notability standards, it will be of endless length. Natureium (talk) 23:32, 8 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
