Ligue pour la Protection des Oiseaux (France) et al.[edit]

On two occasions this year I added France and the LPO to this list.
LPO (founded in 1912, current membership ~60000) is the French ornithological society.
As there is currently no WP page for LPO in English, adding a redlink seemed reasonable.
I carefully included an inter-language link, to serve until an English-language page is created (perhaps by myself, in due course?):

On both occasions the LPO information was reverted:

  1. on account of the redlink (and at the same time as other redlinks were deleted) 2021-08-04
  2. because Wikipedia is not a reliable source 2021-10-24 (yesterday)

I feel confused and slightly distressed; this reversion is unnecessary and harsh in my opinion.
Fellow-wikipedians, what say you?

The removal was following the WP:LISTCOMPANY guideline, which requires list entries for organizations to have independent, reliable sources. IronGargoyle (talk) 07:00, 26 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
