Missing companies[edit]

Synthesis of material[edit]

Is this table not a classic example of original research and hopelessly complex to maintain or judge accuracy? The list uses different sources, and revenue figures for different years, to then make a hierarchy of companies by those figures. And it leans heavily on Forbes' list of American companies. So could be missing many companies from around the world? I don't see how this article could/should exist based on it's current referencing. Can someone allay my concerns? Yes, I see your concern. I noticed that South Korean Chaboels are private and are not listed. Samsung and SK Group have revenue of over 100 Billion and are not listed. 161.69.54.14 (talk) 21:23, 7 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Flags as decoration[edit]

MOS:FLAG says that we should not unduly emphasize nationality, especially when the list entries are explicitly not representing their countries of origin or headquarters. What's up with this article?[edit]

So many companies are missing. People above mentioned a few, I can add Russian Lukoil for example with revenue well above $100 bln. It would be interesting to learn the methodology for this list. Gorgedweller (talk) 18:20, 23 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

List of largest companies by revenue has 31 companies with at least $200 billion, 23 of those are marked as not state owned. Yet this list only has two with over $200 billion.
I don't know what that "privately held" on the header actually means. Apart for mentioned Walmart, also Amazon has a revenue over $500 billion. Then there world top 10 companies ExxonMobil, Apple and Shell which are around $400 billion. Those are not privately held? 193.210.196.238 (talk) 02:40, 18 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
