Organize[edit]

I think it’s time that we organize this in a different format. Maybe by medium like other “List of fictional X” articles? 165.91.13.204 (talk) 16:08, 28 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Same problem as List of fictional television stations: WP:INUNIVERSE organization with no room, for example, for fictional countries in the United States region, and plenty of room for WP:OR. 16:25, 28 November 2017 (UTC)

Real "Fictional" stations[edit]

WLSD is a religious station operating out of Big Stone Gap, VA. As such, I've taken it off the list. Porkchopmcmoose 22:41, 21 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • Even though there is a real WLSD, the one in question is still fictional, so I'm restoring it to the list. --Zpb52 22:45, 21 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Stupid Page[edit]

What kind of stupid article is this?

LegendarySaiyan001 20:45, 24 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Someone's been having fun at this page's expense: 'Radio Ga Ga - a song by the Queen' I didn't know she liked that song, let alone wrote it!

Pruned[edit]

As a result of changing Wikipedia consensus (as demonstrated by the 2010 deletion discussion), only notable fictional radio stations can be included in this list. Previously, any fictional station was allowed, however, such became "unmaintainable" according to critics as the list got longer and it became difficult to check whether the various obscure stations were from an actual fictional work or not. —CodeHydro 15:40, 20 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Although there isn't an established consensus to even keep the article yet, let's hang on there shall we? Dylanfromthenorth (talk) 16:57, 20 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Considering that this article was barely kept by no consensus and that the discussion leaned towards deletion until the pruning shows that this list must not be too broad. Any station added to this list should have a source and/or a wikilink to its own article/section of article. Moreover, the fictional station must be discussed at length in the fictional work, beyond just a passing mention, preferably being a setting of the piece. If the station is not the main setting of the fictional work in which it is found, then a good rule of thumb is whether or not the station is discussed in the main article. —CodeHydro 19:56, 24 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • The {{pruned}} template has turned into an editnotice. —CodeHydro 02:31, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure about this[edit]

I'm not sure whether the fictional radio "Radio Fiets" should be kept in the article. If the article is exclusively about fictional radios that have been cited in TV, movies, books or other kinds of works, then I think that "Radio Fiets" doesn't fit the definition.
