What do we do about Scottish titles where the family seat is in England? The Earl of Buchan, for instance. Should he be listed here or in English Gentry Family Seats? john k 17:55, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, I would follow the title. If the Earl of Buchan has his family seat in England, I would make note of that on this page. The title is of a Scottish qualification. The family could still have a 'histric' family seat somewhere in Scotland that is today a mesuem or some such, which if this is the case you could lisr both.
