Notes[edit]

  • Some of the text is my translation from Lotte Burkhardt's copyleft book, in pdf form at https://www.bgbm.org/en/bgbm-press/index-eponymic-plant-names-extended-edition. - Dank (push to talk) 02:55, 30 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Work at the Graphics Lab by User:PawełMM was done here. - Dank (push to talk) 02:55, 30 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • For Carlemanniaceae, Eewilson looked for but wasn't able to find any freely licensed images of the type genus. (Thus the warning: "not the type genus".) I'll keep looking from time to time. - Dank (push to talk) 02:01, 31 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Meh, I'm going to have to move this to "List of euasterid families" ... see User_talk:PresN#Euasterids. - Dank (push to talk) 02:18, 7 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • For attribution: like all of the lists of flowering plant families in the sidebar, this list started as a subset of List of plant family names with etymologies. The campanulid families were at User:Dank/Sandbox/8; that page was later renamed to User:Dank/Campanulids. The finished rows were then added manually to this page, which became a Featured List when it was named List of lamiid families, but will be renamed to List of euasterid families. - Dank (push to talk) 02:07, 14 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    • Summary of image licenses for these: 10 "own work", 5 from Flickr, 2 from iNaturalist. The Viburnum image is from Laval University. - Dank (push to talk) 02:06, 14 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Ceoil, HAL333, ChrisTheDude, Eewilson: you all supported this one at FLC. Per the discussion with PresN linked above, the table now has more rows and the page has a new name. We're agreed that it doesn't make sense to run the extra rows through a new FLC, but it would be nice if at least one reviewer could check the extra rows to make sure I didn't introduce any mistakes ... no obligation, of course. This is a version of the current page with all the previous rows removed, to make it easier to check the new rows. Thanks. - Dank (push to talk) 16:34, 4 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'll take a look at it when I get on my computer today. Thanks for the tag! – Elizabeth (Eewilson) (tag or ping me) (talk) 18:22, 4 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
    Thx much. - Dank (push to talk) 18:48, 4 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I tried to avoid putting anything in this list that would interfere with the stuff you're working on in userspace on the campanulids, so that that work can turn into a featured list (or even a featured topic) some day, without violating the FLC criteria. But I don't feel strongly about any of this; I could make some changes. - Dank (push to talk) 12:41, 5 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You are great – always thinking ahead. I think the changes are fine. Good work, as always. – Elizabeth (Eewilson) (tag or ping me) (talk) 20:58, 5 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Got your email ... thx, much appreciated. Onwards! - Dank (push to talk) 22:39, 5 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'm fine with the changes.[1] Ceoil (talk) 23:42, 4 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
