Selection criteria[edit]

Selection criteria are not supposed to come out of thin air, they are expected to be based on reliable sources, and cited to those sources. Please read WP:Stand-alone lists. The selection criteria here at List of condominiums in the United States on 30 September 2015 were stated as condominiums located in the United States. Since then the selection criteria have been replaced by "back ground information" which is also required, and which also needs citation to reliable sources. Right now the list has no stated selection criteria. --Bejnar (talk) 01:53, 10 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I added to the lead to provide more context. In its present state, it's a list of notable condominiums and housing cooperatives in the United States. Per the MOS for lists, "words like complete, and notable are normally excluded from list titles", so I have not included the word "notable" in the lead. Whether something is or isn't a condominium or is or isn't in the U.S. is obviously verifiable for anything that deserves an article, and those are the criteria, exactly the same as Category:Condominiums in the United States. This should have already been clear from the AFD. Bejnar, re: the intro, see WP:REDUNDANCY. Not restating the title of the list in the intro does not change its substance. do you have any further questions, or are we finally done here? postdlf (talk) 02:26, 10 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
There should be a citation for the list criteria. Wikipedia:Stand-alone lists is very specific: Selection criteria (also known as inclusion criteria or membership criteria) should be unambiguous, objective, and supported by reliable sources. --Bejnar (talk) 13:27, 10 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
See my first sentence above, as that already answers this objection (if that's what this is). If not, then please rephrase and be specific (no boilerplate) so we can understand what you're talking about. postdlf (talk) 21:52, 10 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Please cite to a source for the basis for the criteria: list of condominiums and housing cooperatives in the United States. I can't be any clearer. --Bejnar (talk) 23:33, 10 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Then take some time to think about it further, because you're not making any sense, and it seems like you're not understanding anything anyone else has said either. Come back in a week and see if you have some new thoughts about how to better express whatever issue you're still having. postdlf (talk) 23:48, 10 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
