Pre-FLC review[edit]

Very good list overall. At a glance, I only found a few things that could be improved:

  • "Three coaches were first inducted in 1959". Reads like it was their first of multiple inductions, when they were actually part of the first class.
    • Fixed, although I don't know if I improved the phrasing. Dabomb87 (talk) 21:01, 24 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • In that same sentence, should three and 79 be made consistent in regards to whether they are numerals? I don't like the rule and prefer it this way, personally.
    • Fixed it anyway, it seemed jarring to me. Dabomb87 (talk) 21:01, 24 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Two Vivian Stringer links in the lead.
  • Auerbach has nine NBA titles as a coach, not 10.
    • Fixed, I was thinking of Phil Jackson there ;) Dabomb87 (talk) 21:01, 24 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Italics needed for Sports Illustrated in the Dean Smith note. Giants2008 (17-14) 18:28, 24 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

John Wooden's 2nd induction[edit]

This page follows the Hall's own page by listing the date of John Wooden's induction as as a coach as 1973. However, comtemporary reports indicate that Wooden received his second enshrinement with the class of 1972.

2020 coaching inductees[edit]

I know the induction ceremonies for the Basketball Hall of Fame's Class of 2020 have been postponed until next year, but is it still permissible to add the name of coaches who were a part of the 2020 Hall of Fame Class? They did earn induction this year, after all. Mr. Brain (talk) 16:04, 26 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Bill Russell is also a coach+player HoF inductee[edit]

At present, this wikipage says: "Four coaches have also been inducted as players: John Wooden, Bill Sharman, Wilkens, and Tom Heinsohn." I think a fifth person, Bill Russell, should be included in this category: if you check here you will see his name twice in both categories. 37.183.2.131 (talk) 10:18, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
