Did You Know
A fact from this article appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the "Did you know?" column on September 16, 2008.
The text of the entry was: Did you know ... that Slipknot has been nominated for six Grammy Awards and won their first for Best Metal Performance with "Before I Forget" in 2006?

Deletion?[edit]

Somebody nominated this for deletion because it's not interesting? Why is that? There are a LOT of list articles for band's awards and Slipknot are one of the most popular metal bands ever. I really do not think this meets any speedy deletion criteria. I was actually thinking about nominating this for featured list status. Coudl somebody explain to me what the problem is with this article over; List of Korn awards, List of Linkin Park awards, List of Metallica awards, List of Rage Against the Machine awards because Slipknot are on par with those bands. The reason for nomination is clearly POV and I feel that with the precedent that Rezter has demonstrated, this list is not only acceptable, but near FL quality. Blackngold29 21:41, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Text added[edit]

IP User 79.73.234.216 added the text ", bassist Alessandro venturella and drummer jay weinburg." to the lead section on 9 August 2018. I corrected it for spelling and capitalisation but please can someone with access to the printed sources check that the information is correct. Thanks. --Jameboy (talk) 06:35, 3 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
