 I see that you still give the Rolling Stones 11 No.1 Albums, as you regard

the 1972 & 2010 'Exile On Main Street' No.1, as 2 different No.1's. The Official Charts Company sees them as the same Album, & gives 10 No.1 Albums to the Rolling Stones. I'd love to donate to Wikipedia, but there are a vast number of silly errors, to do with Charts, & so on. I cannot donate to something that I see as deeply flawed.  The Rolling Stones have had 10 UK No.1 Albums - not 11.

The Official Charts Company does not regard 'Exile On Main Street', as being a 'new', (11th), No.1 Album for them, in 2010. They see it 

as the 1972 Album returning to No.1 - albeit in a 'Deluxe' form.
With a 2nd Disk, (11 Tracks), added. They are still down as an Act

Madonna - Evita[edit]

can someone add George Michael to this list? He just had his 7th solo #1 album in the UK with Symphonica, and 9th overall (Wham!)[edit]

He was the writer and vocalist for Wham!, so I think those count towards his total as a whole and it should be listed as 9 for him with the additional comment about 7 solo, 2 as Wham!

He gets so little credit on website I visit that it astounds me. I am not a tech wiz, and I know there's lots that goes into an edit of these pages. Can someone with talent fix this?

Robbie Williams etc.[edit]

The Article says that Robbie Williams could be said to have the same total of No.1 Albums as The Beatles, if we add his 11 Solo No.1's to his 4 with Take That. Once you were to actually do that, you'd have to add Paul McCartney's 7 No.1's, as a Solo Act & with Wings, to The Beatles 15 & he'd have the most ever - 22. Plus adding John Lennon's Solo No.1 Albums to The Beatles, & George Harrison's to The Beatles. John Lennon would be 2nd to Paul McCartney, & George Harrison would be 3rd. The Beatles would fall from 1st to 4th place. As you can see, adding a Group's No.1 Albums to those of its Solo members, opens a can of worms, that is best left unopened 82.6.134.233 (talk) 05:44, 2 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Totally agree. See discussion at Talk:List of artists by number of UK Singles Chart number ones#Listing every record a performer is on. In the case of albums it is different but no less complicated: if an artist is credited on any track on an album then you could argue for that to be included in their total. This would mean every album (including compilations) would have to be scrutinised for track credits - Thriller would count as a Paul McCartney, Eddie Van Halen and Vincent Price album! Eminem -- 9 UK No.1 Albums[edit]

 In the W/E Thursday 13th September 2018 UK Album Chart, Eminem had his 9th No.1, with 'Kamikaze'.

Rolling Stones -- 'Exile On Main St'[edit]

You follow the Official UK Charts Company, in giving the Rolling Stones 12 UK No.1 Albums. However, you only get 12, if you count 'Exile On Main St' twice. It was a UK No.1 in both 1972 and on W/E 29th May 2010. It is counted as a different No.1, than the 1972 original, as in 2010 it had a 2nd Disk added - with 10 Bonus Tracks. But, although you count it twice, you only List it as a 1972 No.1. It should be also Listed as a 2010 No.1. It should be added to the List between 'Voodoo Lounge'(1994) and 'Blue & Lonesome' (2016). You do count it as a 12th No.1 Album for them - you cannot credit them with 12 No.1's unless you do. But, you don't List it in 2010, and not do you add in its 2010 Week at No.1. You credit them with 45 No.1 Albums Weeks. With the 2010 No.1 Week of 'Exile On Main Street', they really have 46 No.1 Weeks, in the UK Album Chart. 86.2.61.136 (talk) 12:27, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The Official Charts Company seems to have inconsistent views about this. On the one hand this article from their website only counts reissues once, but this one counts them as separate albums. It looks like Wikipedia policy is to only count them once, which is why albums that return to the top don't get new sequence numbers in the lists of UK Albums Chart number ones.
