Lead and scope[edit]

Following the recent AfD of this page, it was renamed to limit the scope to pre-1939 works, and some mention of why this is significant was made in the AfD discussion. However, no such explanation was added to the lead here, so that an otherwise-uninformed reader would have no idea the cutoff isn't completely arbitrary. I need reliable sources in the form of books, DVDs (must be by known companies), or news. We cant use sources like Dailymotion or Youtube as that promotes the person who uploaded the video (unless it is by a notable company). - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 17:24, 13 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
