Frozen

I think we should delete the Frozen entry since everything displayed for Elsa is just speculation without any confirmation from anyone who worked on the show. All the articles linked are fan speculation without any concrete evidence. Tyler Michael Mannix (talk) 00:07, 6 March 2020 (UTC)

I am sorry but please try not to include the Frozen entry since there is nothing from anyone at Disney that is confirming that in any way. This page should be titled "List of animated films with LGBTQ characters" because the series page is called "List of animated series with LGBTQ characters" .

Upcoming Pixar film with trans character

So far, very little is known about this, but I thought I'd move in some links I mentioned on Talk:List of feature films with LGBT characters#Cannot add films that have not yet been released to the list. I did cite Daily Wire, but WP:RSPSOURCES says "there is a strong consensus that The Daily Wire is generally unreliable for factual reporting. Detractors note the site's tendency to share stories that are taken out of context or are improperly verified." So yeah, I don't think that source can be used. However, these can be used:

Disney and the animation studio Pixar continue to show their support for the LGBT + community and as proof of this, we have their new commitment to inclusion by wanting to introduce a transgender character into their films for the first time...However, it has now been revealed that Disney and Pixar are looking for a transgender voice actress to voice the leading lady in their new movie. In another step to further embrace diversity and representation in its works, the award-winning animation studio is seeking a youth talent to voice its character named Jess, a 14-year-old transgender girl for an upcoming animated project...According to the organization’s tweet, it has received the casting call sheet from Pixar, who was also reaching out to other organizations for the search. Trans March said it’s confirmed to be legitimate after some of its followers questioned the authenticity of the search. (PhilSTAR Life was able to confirm with the Pixar Publicity Team that the casting search is, indeed, legit.)...The casting call sheet did not specify further details about the animated project and the voice talent’s role. Pixar has been recently igniting diversity and representation through its projects, including its first black lead character, Joe Gardner, in Soul, which won at the recently concluded 93rd Academy Awards. It also introduced its first openly queer animated character in Onward, voiced by openly gay screenwriter and actor Lena Waithe. With its SparkShorts project Out, Pixar introduced a kiss between its two male characters, Greg and Jim. Meanwhile, Pixar also opened up the conversation about autism in both of its SparkShorts Loop, and the groundbreaking Float, which featured Filipino lead characters.

Also, here's Twitter thread where it was originally announced. Of curse, this cannot be added to the list yet as we don't even know the name of the film! The Bob's Burgers Movie

So, The Bob's Burgers Movie is coming out this year, and there are a number of characters in the LGBTQ community, with the List of animated series with LGBT characters: 2010–2014 page listing trans women Marbles and Marshmallow, a lesbian named Nat Kinkle and a gay man named Dalton Crespin. Some say that Bob Belcher, who is bisexual (also see here, here, and here). And the voice actor of Gene Belcher, said that "his sexuality may be more fluid than explicitly mentioned on the show." There are also many other LGBTQ characters if the fandom site is to be totally believed. So, I thought I'd post this here, so it can, possibly, be added as an entry after the film premieres. Sing 2

The creative team, including the director and producer, have said nothing in the press about Jerry the Cat being gay in the film. The review from Evening Standard is about how the writer views the character. [1] Also, just because Jerry shouted "I love you" to Jerry, it might not have been in a romantic way. Until we have confirmation from the creative team or a source where they confirm it I don't think it should be included. And1987 (talk) 03:16, 30 April 2022 (UTC)

Missing Film "Wasteland"

Hello everyone! I'm new to editing on Wikipedia and I'm trying to add the missing film "Wasteland" onto this page, but another user has been reverting my edit, falsely claiming it to be copyrighted and ignoring my attempts to communicate about it. Yeah, exactly. @Dreamscaped, I understand why you'd want to add this film, but there are SO many YouTube animated films out there, that I'd say having coverage from independent, and reliable sources, is an important standard for this page to have. If a film like Wasteland did have independent (and reliable) sources, then it could surely be added, but the source you provided, specifically fandom.com, is not reliable, and YouTube.com is a direct link, not an independent source, so neither fulfills this standard. Removing part of the CCS

I removed the link to CCS because, first of all, it duplicates an entry from the list about the series these films are part of. Secondly, the entire tape except Yukito, Sakura's brother and Tomoyo is not true, as the tape refers to popular mistakes like Clamp's interview taken out of context and not understanding how the magical aura works in the universe. I know there is an ongoing discussion on the Anime and manga wikiproject, and I'll respond there, and I see you kept the entries for Tomoyo, Touya, Yukito, and Ruby Moon on the List of animated series with LGBT characters: 1995–1999 page, so it would reason that they should be listed here as well, as Tomoyo, Touya, and Yukito are in the CCS films from what I remember.
