Canaan Valley

What's the official name of Canaan Valley state park? An article was started at Canaan Resort State Park, and the drop-down menu on the left side of the West Virginia State Parks website uses that format; this listing on the same site refers to it as "Canaan Valley Resort State Park"; the park website calls it "Canaan Valley Resort & Conference Center"; the West Virginia Encyclopedia (ISBN 0-9778498-0-5) calls it "Canaan Valley State Park." Brochures I collected during a recent visit to the park refer to it variously as "Canaan Valley Resort" and "Canaan Valley Resort & Conference Center." Malepheasant 04:02, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

To be consistent with Pipestem and Stonewall, I think the correct name is "Canaan Valley Resort State Park", along the lines of "Pipestem Resort State Park" and "Stonewall Resort State Park". I'd look at the "& Conference Center" as along the lines of the "& State University" that is offically at the end of Va. Tech's name (and also offically ignored). I'd also be all for renaming the page and adding a couple of redirects, say from "Canaan Valley State Park", etc. WVhybrid 04:49, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

Does this article meet the definition of a Featured List?

According to Wikipedia:What is a featured list? a featured list is useful, comprehensive, factually accurate, stable, uncontroversial and well-constructed.

Remove section

It is my intention to remove the section By Region. The reason is that this section is a repeat of the table, and the regional correlation is shown by the color coding of the tabe. I would like to do this removal to make the article more appropriate to become a feature list. WVhybrid 02:49, 25 November 2006 (UTC)
