Curiously, is putting lyrics of a song a breach of copyright? TobytheTramEngine 05:51, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, I don't think so (as long as you wrote them up yourself rather than copying them from another website). However Wikipedia isn't the place for song lyrics. --Skarloey 21:48, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh. Then I guess it's copyright violation. The reason I'm asking this is because of Thomas and Friends Song Lyrics, which is now deleted due to copyright violation. TobytheTramEngine 19:54, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm thinking of requesting to have this page protected so that unregistered users cannot edit it - I am fed up of people putting "Thomas Anthem" into the Series 3 heading (it is a Series 4 song, released with the other Series 4 songs on the same compilation). What? Thomas' Anthem is a Season 4 song? I thought it was a Season 3 song. Oh well. Does that mean I have to move the trivia in the Season 3 article to the Season 4 article (but remove although there's only one in this Season (Thomas' Anthem)? TobytheTramEngine 19:10, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yup, the Americans would consider it a Season 3 song, but that is only because the Season 3 video with it on was released at the same time that the song was (as Season 4 was coming out in the UK, 1994). The song was however written and released at the same time as the Season 4 songs, so is just the first and signature song, and was probably released first because it is partly eponymous and is the song which is most recognisable. Oh, sorry. Well, I've seen two versions. TobytheTramEngine 21:53, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

One version I've seen is when Thomas is puffing with Annie and Clarabel with his happy face, while the chugging and whistle sounds are heard. Another version has a scene where Thomas is puffing with Annie and Clarabel but with his curious face and the same sounds are heard again, while the scene where a boy is took a while until the cloud lands on It's. However, I already knew that Wikipedia is NOT the place for song lyrics. TobytheTramEngine 17:06, 1 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
