Redlinks, notability, inclusion criteria[edit]

Why are individuals being listed simply because they are mentioned in one source? Policy for lists is WP:WTAF and WP:LISTPEOPLE - they need to have their own WP article to be considered notable, or to at least be written about in multiple reliable sources. Too many on here do not meet that criteria. I also haven't had the time yet to go through all the mentions, but concerns have been raised in the AfD that non-Natives, and men, have been added to this list. See recent discussions at WP:NDN talk page for criteria on who is considered Native, and what is considered a reliable source on Native topics. Some of the links currently need to be accessed via the wayback machine. - CorbieV 21:53, 18 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'm starting to clean up this list by first tackling a selection of those who are clearly notable, have their own WP pages, and checking the notability sources, then adding a second and/or third reliable source. If someone has the time in the future to list on the talkpage those who do not meet Native inclusion criteria, or are men, I can remove them. Netherzone (talk) 14:08, 25 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
