Closest Active Players to 10,000 Rushing Yards[edit]

I think this goes because what's your criteria for including the players? How close do you have to get. Is that like fourth place in a competition — nearly third place? Rich257 (talk) 19:35, 20 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think within 500 yards--Yankees10 (talk) 23:29, 17 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

HOF[edit]

I want to show which of these players are in the HOF. It is useful information to show how someone the rushing totals do or don't get you in. This isn't your article, anyone can edit it. This is verifiable info and there's nothing wrong with adding it.--2008Olympianchitchatseemywork 06:34, 27 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I never said you couldnt edit it. I am just trying to be consistant with other articles like this. Look at other articles such as List of National Football League rushing touchdowns leaders or List of National Football League receiving yards leaders or List of National Football League receiving touchdowns leaders, they dont have colors and neither should this one. The point of this aritcle is not to show that the player made the HOF, its to show the players with 10,000 career rushing yards.--Yankees10 16:31, 27 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The three lists you cite already have a column showing when the player was selected to the Hall of Fame, if at all. Surely the "point" of those articles, if there is such a thing, is to show the top players in the given category. But they also show Hall of Fame status. The reason they do so is to show what correlation, if any, exists between, for example, the number of touchdowns and getting into the Hall. I am trying to do the same for other NFL stat lists that don't have a HOF column. I don't see why you are resistant to that when the three lists you have cited as models of consistency also have this information. I am slowly going through these lists and adding colors. I have met you halfway by not including Pro Bowl colors unless there is a unusual circumstance where a player on these lists actually didn't get to the Pro Bowl (Fred Taylor finally making it this year removed that anomaly on this page).--2008Olympianchitchatseemywork 19:49, 27 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
