Missing CPU[edit]

There is a Celeron missing that is refered to as: "Celeron M ULV 600MHz (Zero Cache)" I believe the codename is "Shelton". It is based on the Celeron M, but obviously has no L2 cache and is at 600 MHz with 7 watt TDP. I belive it came in 600 MHz, 800 MHz and possibly 1 GHz varieties. Celeron D specs[edit]

Seems the Intel Spec page has a typo for the Celeron D 347 entry: it lists a TDP of 69.2W and a thermal spec of 86°C. However, the other 65nm C1 stepping models 352 and 356 both have a TDP of 86W and a thermal spec of 69.2°C. As such, it seems the person at Intel who input the specs for these processors switched the numbers for the 347 model, as it is not possible for the processor to have a lower TDP than the others, yet a higher thermal spec.--213.46.128.161 16:05, 31 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

BalusC site offline[edit]

Unfortunately, BalusC has taken his site offline (what a huge loss for the internet!) and it won't be online for some time as far as I know. His site currently only displays a 'bye' message because he's emigrating from the Netherlands to Curaçao. Section Headings[edit]

I just noticed that the section headings seem a bit redundant. There is Desktop Processors and then under that it says Single-Core Desktop Processors and Dual-Core Desktop Processors. 900MHz without cache[edit]

There is a 900MHz x86 CPU manufactured by Intel which has no L2 cache, just 32 KiB L1 cache, and is referred to as a Celeron. I don't see it in the list. NerdyNSK (talk) 22:14, 11 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Socket M / Socket 479[edit]

It's confusing to use both Socket M and Socket 479 in the processor list. Shouldn't they be the same? 83.145.207.37 (talk) 10:43, 2 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The name "Socket 479" is generally used to refer to the version of the socket that supported Pentium M-family products, while Socket M is used to refer to the version that supported Core Solo/Duo-family products. For extra compleixty, "Socket P" is used to refer to the version that supports Core 2-family products. Physically these are all very similar if not the same; the differences are mainly electrical. rebranding of Celeron and Pentium Dual Core CPUs[edit]

New marketing material from Intel now refers to all Dual-Core processors simply as Celeron, they even dropped the 'M' from some of the new Celeron M models, which is hard to reflect in this table.

On a related note, how about changing the sorting to make the microarchitecture the primary key, rather than desktop/mobile? Arndbergmann (talk) 19:04, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

FMA3 in Haswell Celerons[edit]

Do Haswell Celerons support FMA3? I am pretty sure FMA3 is part of AVX2 instruction set, so Celerons do not support it, contrary to what the article says, but I don't have any good source for that. OK, according to this link: http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Celeron_Dual-Core/Intel-Mobile%20Celeron%202950M.html, FMA3 is not supported in mobile Haswell Celerons. I am going to update the article. Multiple CPUs with same sSpec number?[edit]

ECC support[edit]

Haswell section says: "Embedded models support ECC memory." Actually, ALL Sandy/Ivy Bridge and later, incl Haswell, Haswell-R, etc, Celerons DO SUPPORT ECC RAM. Proof: ark.intel.com, Freenas forums, server chipset mobos compatibility lists.

Tremont template needs to be updated[edit]

Tremont-based Celeron and Pentium Silver CPUs have an L3 memory cache. Even though this is listed in the source code of the tables, the template doesn't support the l3 parameter.
